We had our first post-baby dinner party! My new mommy friend, M, came over with her hubby and their little one, W. W and Holden spent some time sizing each other up and decided that they could be friends. W was smiling at Holden and it was the cutest thing! After some socializing, the kids were ready for bed and adventures in bedtime at a new house began. W did great going to bed in a strange room and strange bed.
Grown up dinner was so fun and now I feel a little more normal having hung out drinking wine with people who are in the same place as us. Baby has turned us into social shut-ins.
It's hot hot hot here. So there's a lot of hanging out inside to escape the heat. We've begun a trend of 2 hour naps in the early afternoon, too, which is great for me! I get stuff done without having to race the clock.
